Comment
Recommended value is weighted average (best representation method) of SUM05 and SMV03. These values were divided for this datasheet by the stellar enhancement factor (SEF) of Rau09 to receive a laboratory MACS. Both are photoactivation measurements (186W(gamma,n)185W) where the (n,gamma) cross section was deduced by Hauser-Feshbach theory with varying input parameters (level density, gamma strength, optical model potential). The uncertainty of both measurements is the experimental uncertainty (SMV03: 10%; SUM05: 6-11%) plus the deviation between the predictions. The MACS vs. kT table is the the average of the predictions of SUM05, normalized by f=1.408. Note that the published values are already stellar MACS.

Original:MACS [<σ v>/vT] (mb) for kT=30 keV, based on the published cross sections except where indicated otherwise.
Renorm:MACS [<σ v>/vT] (mb) for kT=30 keV for which the reference or standard cross section was meanwhile improved.
Type: The letters and numbers in the column labelled 'type' give information on how the cross section has been obtained:
