Nuclear Astrophysics in Germany


The meeting brings together scientists with experience or collaborations in the field of nuclear astrophysics.

The goal of the meeting is to discuss the variety of science projects concerning "Nuclear Astrophysics" within and among German research organizations and university groups. The meeting goal is to help coordination, synergies, and consensus among these projects, as these often operate under different organizations and headings of either "nuclear physics" or "astrophysics". Aimed for are: a lively science discussion, a list of teams and projects throughout Germany, indications for connections to the big flagship projects, to priorities, and possibly identifications of issues or required actions to keep the research field at its high science level and coherence.

The meeting will take place at the Darmstadtium in Darmstadt/Germany at 4. December 2013. It is generously funded by the ATHENA project.
